A Visit to Orchard Road Apple Store
Apple opened a new store at Orchard Road back on 27th May, the first in Singapore and also a first in Southeast Asia. I was not able to be there during its grand opening but I got the chance to visit it recently. Here is a quick look at the latest Apple Store in town, in case you haven't been there already.

Apple Stores are known to be magnificent pieces of artwork, each uniquely designed to create a cozy environment for Apple fans. This Apple Store is no different. Located in busy Orchard Road, do not be shocked when you see crowds in the store. The store is spacious, spanning two storeys in vertical height.
If you have been to any Apple Stores overseas, you will be really familiar with the layout of the Orchard Road store. On the ground floor is where you find all the demo units, from iPhones to iPads. Want to purchase something? Just talk to one of their friendly employees there and prepare your Apple Pay.
Need some accessories for your new iPhone? Apple has you covered. Apart from the official iPhone cases and Apple Watch straps, third party accessories are also displayed in the store. Headphones? Checked! Drones? Checked! Sphero BB-8? Checked! Once you are done touching all of Apple's latest gadgets, head upstairs via the stairs on both ends.
The second floor is known as the Forum. There are some third party accessories that you can purchase, but the main attraction here would be the huge screen on the wall. According to Apple's website, this is where they conduct "Today at Apple" hands-on sessions. Learn more about the program here.
While there are no Apple gadgets for you to play with up here, there are certainly wooden chairs and tables everywhere. Sit down and relax! Indoor trees and sunlight coming through the huge glass panes provides a cozy feel. Phone running out of battery? No need to worry. The tables are equipped with charging ports but don't forget to bring your own cable!
Every Apple Store is a masterpiece but the one at Orchard Road is among the nicest I have seen. Even if you are not an Apple fan (I am not), I highly recommend taking a trip down to the Orchard Road Apple Store just to admire the architecture. What do you think about the new Apple Store?
